Venezia: l'Ispra ha organizzato una due giorni su "Water scarcity and drought"

Il lavoro di ricerca che in ambito Europeo si sta compiendo per mettere a punto strategie di mitigazione in grado di contrastare la scarsità idrica, è di lungo periodo, ma il tema è già oggi di assoluta attualità. Di questo dovrà tener conto la rete comunitaria di esperti che si riunirà a Venezia (Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, isola di San Giorgio Maggiore) il prossimo 13-14 ottobre 2011 per parlare di "Water Scarcity and Drought" nell'ambito di un convegno di due giorni organizzato da Ispra, cui parteciperanno anche i membri dei due gruppi di lavoro "idrologia" e "clima" dell'Organizzazione meteorologica mondiale.

Alle due giornate di approfondimento parteciperanno anche i ricercatori italiani ed europei impegnati nei progetti del VII programma quadro sulla ricerca, che lavorano sulla prevenzione dei ricorrenti fenomeni di scarsità idrica e siccità, al fine di facilitare lo scambio di conoscenze ed esperienze nell'ambito dell'iniziativa comunitaria "Blue Print for safeguarding Europe's waters". Al meeting sarà presente anche l'Autorità di bacino del fiume Arno con il Segretario Generale Gaia Checcucci.
